description:
Attractive light pink wheat sheaf groupings of rhodochrosite crystals without matrix. This is very reminiscent of the kutnohorite specimens from South Africa. The identity has been confirmed at Michigan Tech University. The specimen is in super condition. This is outstanding for the species from this old locality. The specimen has been on public display at the Springfield, East Coast show in 2018. The specimen is figured in The Mineralogical Record, volume 51, page 448, figure number 81.
