Stibnite
specimen number:
1501233
location:
Brasina deposit, Boranja orefield, Podrinje District, Serbia
description:
Very neat and unusual locality example for the species consisting of a cluster of semi-lustrous lead gray prismatic stibnite crystals forming a 13.0 x 9.0 x 4.5 cm cluster. Yellowish coatings of what I assume to be sulfur are scattered throughout. This sits perfectly by itself for display and shows well all around. Minimal micro-chipping present, still I think in good condition as seen. One seldom sees good examples of the species from this locality available on today's market. Shipping weight: 1.13 pounds. Ex Renaud Vochten collection.
Size: 13.0 x 9.0 x 4.5 cm (cabinet)
